Privacy

Most of the people this site is built for are between 13 and 18. That is the reason this page is short and specific instead of long and general: the less we hold, the less there is to lose, and a policy you cannot finish reading is not a policy you agreed to.

The short version

What we collect, field by field

If you sign up for alerts

The alerts form collects exactly six things, and they are the six columns the record has:

Email address
Where the deadline reminders go. It is the only way we can reach you and the only thing we need to find your record again.
ZIP code
Used to work out which county and city awards apply to you.
County
Most awards in this index are restricted to one county, so this is the field that decides most of what you are sent.
High school or city
Optional. Some awards are restricted to the students of a single school.
Expected graduation year
Awards are usually limited to one class year. This is asked as a year, not as an age or a birth date.
Field of study or category
Optional. Used to skip awards that would not apply to you.

We do not ask for a date of birth or an age. The straightforward way to prove a signup is over 13 would be to collect a birth date, which means holding a minor's birth date on a server. The birth date is the sensitive thing. So the form asks you to confirm you are 13 or over, and will not send until you do. That answer is checked and then discarded. There is no age column in the record and no birth date anywhere in this system.

We also never ask for a name, a phone number, a home address, a transcript, a GPA, a test score, a photograph, a financial detail or a social security number. No part of this site has a field for any of them.

If you write to us about an award

The corrections form is for the organisations that run these scholarships. It stores what you type: your organisation, the award link, what needs changing, whether the award runs every year, and your name, role and email so we can reply. That form is for sponsors, so what it holds is work contact detail rather than student detail.

What we do with it

We match your county, school, class year and field against the 357 awards in the index, and email you when one you could apply for has a deadline coming. That is the whole purpose, and there is no second one.

We never sell it
Not to colleges, not to recruiters, not to lead buyers, not to advertisers, not to data brokers, and not under a "trusted partners" heading. This is a constraint on what the product is allowed to be, which is why there is no version of it that pays us more.
We never use it to advertise to you
There is no advertising on this site, so there is no profile to build and nobody to build it for.
We never publish it
Nothing you enter appears anywhere on this site. The public pages are built from a data file of scholarships, and signup records are not part of it.

Tracking, cookies and analytics

There is no analytics service on this site. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, no fingerprinting. We set no cookies of any kind, so there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Loading a page here contacts no other company. Every font, stylesheet, script and image comes from this domain. There is no embedded video, no social widget, no comment system and no content delivery network reaching out to a third party mid-page.

That was not true until 12 August 2026, when two typefaces were loaded from Google Fonts and every visitor's browser handed Google an IP address before the page finished rendering. Writing this policy is what surfaced it. The fonts are now served from our own domain, which is a better answer than disclosing something avoidable.

One thing does remain, because it is how any website works:

Our host keeps server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare, which records the usual request data including IP addresses in order to serve pages and block attacks. We do not connect that to a signup record and we do not use it to build a picture of a visitor.

How long we keep it, and how to get rid of it

A signup is kept until you ask us to delete it, because a deadline reminder service that forgot you would fail at the one thing it promised. There is no minimum period and no waiting time on a deletion.

Every alert email carries an unsubscribe link, and that link deletes the record rather than marking it inactive. If you no longer have the email, enter your address here and it is deleted the same way. There is no account to log into and no reason to give. We do not offer you a discount to stay, and we do not keep a suppressed copy so that we can avoid emailing you, because keeping the copy is the thing you asked us not to do.

If you were watching several counties, all of them are deleted, not the one you clicked from.

If you would rather see what we hold first, ask through the contact form and we will send you the record. It goes to the address it is stored under and never to a different one, because otherwise anybody could read a stranger's record by asking for it. It will be the six fields listed above, because that is all there is.

Students under 13

Alerts are for students aged 13 and over, and the form asks you to confirm that before it will send. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13. If we find out that we have, we delete the record. We do not hold it while we try to reach a parent, because holding it is the thing we are trying to avoid.

A parent or guardian who believes their child has signed up can ask us to delete the record through the contact form, and we will do it without asking them to prove anything.

Sponsors, and the data on the public pages

Every scholarship listing on this site was assembled from a page its sponsor published publicly. Where a sponsor's own wording includes an email address or phone number that is part of how a student applies, we quote it, because removing it would break the promise that every award leads somewhere you can actually apply. Where a contact detail in that wording is not part of applying, we take it out before publishing and mark that we did.

If you work for a sponsor and want a detail removed from your listing, ask through the contact form and we will remove it. We do not ask why, and there is no charge.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or what we do with it, the date at the top of this page changes and the change is described here. We will not quietly widen the purposes and rely on you having agreed to a future version. If the promise not to sell student data ever changed, that would be a different company, and the honest thing would be to say so rather than edit a line on a page.

Common questions

Do you sell student data?
No. We do not sell, rent, broker, licence or share student information with colleges, recruiters, lead buyers, advertisers or data brokers, and there is no partner clause that permits it. What a student tells us is used to choose which scholarship deadlines to email them, and for nothing else.
What do you store about a student?
An email address, and the fields used to decide what to send: ZIP code, county, high school or city, expected graduation year, and field of study. Where you sign up from an award or a county page, we also store which page that was, so we send you the reminder you actually asked for rather than a general one. That is the entire record. We do not ask for or store a date of birth, an age, a name, a phone number, a postal address, a transcript, a test score or a social security number.
Do you track visitors?
There is no analytics service on this site. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no third-party cookie, and no cookie set by us at all. Reading this site sets nothing on your device, and loading a page contacts no company other than the one hosting it.
How does a student delete their data?
Ask, and the record is deleted. Every alert email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that removes the record rather than muting it, and if you no longer have that email you can enter your address on the unsubscribe page instead. All we need is the address, there is no account to log into, and we do not ask why.
Can someone under 13 sign up?
No. Alerts are for students aged 13 and over, and the form will not send until you confirm you are. That confirmation is checked and then discarded, so there is no age or birth date stored anywhere. We do not knowingly hold data from a child under 13, and if we learn that we have, we delete it rather than asking a parent to confirm it.
